Regional Rural Resource Roadshows

As you know from his work over the years, Senator Udall understands the importance of our small and rural communities, and how difficult it can be for many of these communities to access federal funding that is critical to building long-term economic growth and creating jobs across our state. He recognizes the many needs that exist across the state: essential water and waste water projects; our aging roads and bridges; the need for planning grants and investments in clean energy and rural broadband.

Now that municipal elections have wrapped up, we are rolling out a six-city regional rural resource roadshow for elected officials, their staff, and others in the community to hear directly from federal and state agencies, including USDA Rural Development, US Housing and Urban Development, US Economic Development Administration, the NM Finance Authority, and several statewide non-profits that can support economic development and infrastructure initiatives in their area, discuss resources available to apply for funding, and to network with other regional elected representatives and organizations. A light lunch will be provided.
