POLICE CHIEF – City of Las Cruces

Position directs the Police Department’s operations consisting of Administration, Uniform Services, Special Services, Codes Enforcement, and Administrative Support staff. Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Public Administration or related field and 10 years’ law enforcement experience with five years of management/supervisory experience in mid to upper level command experience.  Successful completion of a background investigation and polygraph is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy (NMLEA) Certification.  US Citizen; free of felony convictions. Salary is negotiable.
