Operator/Maintenance – Lovington

The City of Lovington has an opening for an Operator/Maintenance person at our Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The selected person must have a Diploma or GED, and be able to pass certification exams as dictated by the State of New Mexico Environment Department certification program.  The City of Lovington Wastewater Department runs an SBR activated sludge plant with aerobic digestion.  We use a screw press for sludge dewatering, and we compost with woodchips as an amendment.  The Wastewater Department also takes care of the collection system.  We work four ten hour shifts, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.  There are five operators that rotate being on call weekly.  The person on call takes an extra day off during the week, and makes up the 10 hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning.  If you are interested in finding out more about this position, you may contact me at : mdelacruz@lovington.org or 575-704-9173.  Position to filled as soon as possible after passing a background check, drug screening and physical.
